Glowplug Light On Dash Flashing?

I was driving along this afternoon when the glowplug heater light started flashing in the dash, any idea as to what it could be?.

Then it stopped but a little while later the car died as i was driving along.

I pulled in and started it and it ran o.k.

Took it to a friend and he checked the codes.

It read p01268

Anyone got an idea as to what this code means?

P1000 range is a Manufacturers specific code

The 268 bit indicates a "Fuel and Air" Injection fault

 

 

Most likely due to the MAF beginning to fail or loose connection on the air box.

 

Someone with VAG COM can give you an absolute diagnosis I am sure.

my friend is using a vag pod whatever that is and it read a fault with the " metering system" ??
