Fitting A New Ford Badge To Front Grille

This may sound pathetic, but i need to replace the Ford Badge on the front grille, with a new shiny one (that i have got) :(

 

Whats the best way of getting the old one off (steam kettle)?, and then should i use a superglue to stick the new one back on

Dave...do a seasch on badges...it was all covered quite extensively

recently when MATT changed his front/back ones...

Or you could just order a new plastic grill. Don't think too expensive and you could get the 'new look' one.

AH, sorry dudes, just got back from holidaying in conwy - wales, anyway, i found the topic, and as said before, it is a job that is well worth doing, it smartens things up dramaticly.

summary,

 

* heat up badge with hairdryer, until very hot.

* use a 'flat head' screw driver, to prize the badge off.

* my galaxy had two plastic pins, moulded to the grill, which help guide the badge on - don't break them!

* clean gooey muck off.

* Peel paper off the back of new badge - to reveal stickiness.

*stick badge on - the correct way round.

How much did the new badge cost??

for mine, they were

warn badge up with h dryer or

cloth in hot water then put it into poleyhine bag &

hold onto the badge

 

once warmed up use

fishing line to remove badge

you sounld'nt need to tget the badg warn using

fishing line as that's what the thieves use &

they don't carry a kettle or h dryer with them
