No Trip Computer !

I'm sure this is going to be a simple answer (I hope).

 

I stalled my Gal on a hill and restarted it straight away and now none of the trip info is working and the box its in is blank. I also have an ! mark showing. Is this just a fuse gone or something likewise?

This can be programmed with VAG COM, maybe the programming has become corrupt?

Try disconnecting the battery for about a minute. Hopefully it may reset itself.

It sounds like from them it could be a bit more than a fuse gone. I guess I can still take it back to Ford under warrenty as its only 18 months old.

went out this morning and its working ok again. Didn't do anything.

My trip computer display does the same - occasionally remaining blank. If thats the only gremlin........oh, apart from the 'auto' open / close on the front windows occasionally not working, the suspension link arms (down links or whatever they're called) requiring replacement again...... <_<

Phew at least I'm not the only one when auto open/close fails to work. Seems to be when I use the global opening from the passenger side the driver side window will fail to auto close until I switch the engine off. But then it may be shear coincidence......

:) the trip computer went blank once (and it was when I started it and stopped it having just moved forward a few feet

 

So having said cheerio to the wife in the morning I walk a few yards and spend 50mins with another temperamental character!

 

I've kind of thought that if that's the only set of issues with my Galaxy I'll not let it bother me. Some Gals have rougher time of it - what with A/Con etc.

Mine does the same... once every couple of weeks or so the trip computer doesn't light up and the green warning light on the dash (telling you to put your foot on the brake pedal to select a gear, auto box) stays on.

 

I've had it into the main dealer twice and even though I've stressed it's an intermittent fault when I pick it up later they just say 'we didn't see the fault'. :blink:
