Poss Head Gasket 2.8 V6 Galaxy Help

Hi folks.......My Galaxy v6 has covered 120000 miles and over the last week has been using a lot of water and when switching off after a short trip steam appears all around the engine....oil cap is'creamy' so I suspect head gasket.....its not overheating and runs fine.....so,how much to fix it ...or could it please be anything else......cheers

It sounds very much like a head gasket problem. Find yourself a good independent VW outfit, you should get a good job done at a sensible price.
