Guest franknun Posted January 31, 2006 Report Posted January 31, 2006 then remove the screws that go in the rear light access comartment. then around the edge of the card, pull it outward. on the picture below, where it shows where the clips are - what i did, was shut the boot, with me in the boot <not locking myself in!>, and with a modified screwdriver, <small flat screw driver, bent 90 degrees> i wedges it between the glass and door card, and pulled towards me, once i had "un cliped two" i could get my fingers behind it, and then pulled the rest of it off. try to place the screwdriver as close to the clips as possible - ive shown roughly where they are. and dont be too forceful - these things break very easily. if you have any troubles, pm me or summet. MATT Thanks Matt, Great instructions! Guess what I'll be doing this weekend ! Franknun Quote
Guest franknun Posted February 6, 2006 Report Posted February 6, 2006 Matt,Did the job easily thanks to you, I found that my panel came away from the window just by tugging at it with my hands! The washer pipe had come off the stub but I also found that the washer jet was blocked. Perhaps that was why the pipe had come off in the first place. Also, found that the off-side wiring loom in the corner of the tailgate had chafed and was on the point of showing bare wires, hasty repair there!Coincidently, driving home tonight in daughters Rover 100 (I give it some exercise every so often) I found that the rear washer didnt work and found water leaking from the inside of the rear panel when I got home!! I didnt think this sort of thing was catching!! Franknun Quote
