Guest jimjames Posted June 22, 2003 Report Posted June 22, 2003 I have a 1.9 TDi Ghia which I am very happy with. The only thing I dont like about it is where the hazard (four ways) button is situated. It is on the left hand side of the radio furthest away from the drivers side of the car and near the top of all the other buttons so if you are using the two drink trays as I reguarly do, the button is unsighted. This is a button you need to get to pretty quickly such as using it to warn cars behind you that the road ahead has slowed down or stopped. I think it should be put on the right hand side where you can see it and dont have to stetch over to get to? Anyone else agree or not? : Quote
Guest Pete C Posted June 22, 2003 Report Posted June 22, 2003 I suppose it is in the right place for a LHD vehicle,I assume that most galaxy/sharan/Alhambra are sold abroad. The best place in on top of the steering wheel binnacle where it lives in the older versions. Quote
Ivor_E_Tower Posted June 23, 2003 Report Posted June 23, 2003 If you don't have heated seats, is there enough spare wire in the loom so that you could swap it with one of the blanking panels on the rhs? the switches and blanks come out very easily from the front with gentle pressure from a small screwdriver - I bought a spare one for just over 2 quid and fixed my mobile phone holder to it using 2 screws and nuts. When I sell the car in a few years (hopefully to upgrade to a new one!) I simply stick the old blanking panel back, and no-one need ever know that a mobile was fitted! Quote
