Air Con Diagnostic Needed Northamptonshire

The display on my air con control flashes for about 5 seconds before reverting to normal.

 

From previous posts on this group this indicates a fault and needs a diagnostic.

 

Does anyone know where i can get this done in the Northamptonshire area?

 

We just changed the MAF (revitalised the vehicle) and didn't notice the problem before.

 

Our local garage could do the check but they can't get hold of the software for the Galaxy (99 Tdi)

I unplugged the the control from the car then plugged it back in again, this stopped the display from flashing. but I found the main cause of the fault was the air con was low on refrigerant, so you may need a top-up. hope this helps.

it sounds to me as though the unit is low on refrigerant - it's happened to me once or twice :o :o before. An air-con specialist can check the pressure pretty quickly and you should expect to pay about

try j.s.b at westbridge in northampton by the train station or jacksons mot station in the council yard both have been help full to me in the past
