Keys Central Locking

just bought a galaxy aspen 2 litre petrol

1996 p reg not shure which model it has got elec windows , air con

have doen a serch

cant find if my model has got remote in the key

eny help before i get the car on thursday

phoned garage this morning he said there is no remote on the key but has a ford immobilizer :huh:

According to this Galaxy brochure I've got (its 1997 but it's relevant) the Galaxy Aspen had the following listed under "security features"

Alarm-perimeter with volume sensor...no

Fuel flap -central locking linked...........yes

Immobilisor system............................yes

locking wheel nuts..............................no

Locks-cetral,double locking..................yes

Locks remote control locking................no

Locks-remote door lock "global"operation

of windows and sunroof.......................no

visible VIN no.....................................yes

Does it have any sort of red led anywere on the can, especially on the drivers door? Do any red lights flash when you lock the door? Do the indecators flash when you lock or unlock the doors? George

all models have central locking and window closure from key lock ( global closure )

but only electric windows

can be upgraded very easily to remote locking
