I want to retro fit roof rails to my galaxy .I have looked through the forum and note are made to size of cut out's on seals .can anybody please send me or tell what size and were these cuts are made .and any information on fitting the rail's I would be very greatful for . Ivor_E_Tower Posted May 11, 2005 Report Posted May 11, 2005 Fitting the rails has been covered before at least twice, with a few photos too. IIRC you only need to drill holes sufficiently large to clear the securing bolts. Don't over-do it or you increase the chances of leaks. You need to strip off the headlining, which involves loosening or removing most of the interior bodyshell trim.. It is not very difficult, just time-consuming. Quote
Andrew T Posted May 12, 2005 Report Posted May 12, 2005 I saw a Galaxy recently fitted with 2 conventional roof bars that located in the top of the door apertures. Would that be any easier solution if you only needed to carry a Roofbox ? Quote
