Loss Of Drive/throttle Response

Hi,

 

I have a 2002 Galaxy TDi 115 Zetec that is losing drive while driving, if you know what i mean!

 

It is as if someone has disconected the throttle cable, the engine idles at around 1000 rpm and the only way to recover the throttle response is to switch off the ignition and restart.

 

This happens every 5 miles or so.

 

Any ideas out there?

This happened on a friend of mines Galaxy TDI. He just pushed the connector on the throttle response unit(accelerator pedal :) ).....must have been loose ...and everything was fine and dandy !!!

Cheers mate, the connector seamed to be fully home, but no problems since removing and refitting!
