Had the man to look at our Galaxy he thinks its the immobiliser thats stopping our car from starting. He told us to disconnect the battery, charge it over night then connect it again and then see if it starts, if it doesn`t then its off to fords we go. He THINKS that because we changed the battery the immobiliser has reset itself. Has anyone any suggestions or ideas for us if it doesn`t start in the morning.

We bought this car in June last year {its a 1997 V6 Automatic} , we`ve had a sensor replaced and also had a new gearbox fitted, help please.

One thing you could do is check for sparks at the plugs while you crank. If you get spark I would not think it's immobilised.

Also check the LED on the drivers door, it should flash at a faster rate if the immobilisers is working! as you say the gearbox has been replaced they may have disturbed the inhibitor switch, try wirggling the gear selector while you start the car
