jkspoff Posted May 6, 2005 Report Posted May 6, 2005 I've seen the latest Galaxy's with the new chrome surround on grill and chrome surround on front fog lights, anyone had a go at fitting them to a mk2 earlier model. How much is the kit and are they easy to fit ? :P Quote
rwtomkins Posted May 6, 2005 Report Posted May 6, 2005 You can read all about it here http://www.fordgalaxy.org.uk/ford/index.ph...=2116&hl=chrome but I'd also be interested to hear from anyone else who's had experience of fitting the kit - any problems, etc. Quote
Guest vr6galaxy Posted May 6, 2005 Report Posted May 6, 2005 You mean this not so cheap but nasty looking collection of stick on tacky looking shiny plastic ? Can you tell I'm not impressed :P Quote
Guest blatters Posted May 29, 2005 Report Posted May 29, 2005 The bits are easy enough to fit. All pieces simply snap into the lugs used by the earlier ones. Care needed with the silver front fog lamps though as the fit is very tight and the lugs are not as flexible as the black version. I think the thing is an improvement although it has grown on me since the facelift launch. At first I wasn't too sure but I'm convinced now and my friends have positive feedback as well. I reckon that there is something subconcious at work here - it is rare to embrace and feel positive about a facelift to a model we already own. Just a thought. Blatters. PS. Walking towards my Gal last Monday to take my son back to school at lunchtime and there was a guy admiring it as it was parked on the street (no, he wasn't gonna break in!!!!). He thought it was brand new 'cos of the private plate and condition. So there you go, the chrome upgrade on the front has done the trick. Can't be bothered with the back though as I think the cost/benefit is too small to be troubled with. Quote
