Guest marcusheawood Posted May 22, 2005 Report Posted May 22, 2005 Hey GT-Four does that motor go like it looks? Is Carlos Sainz missing one from his collection? Quote
Guest JohnP Posted May 23, 2005 Report Posted May 23, 2005 Just a thought - I had the same problem - traced it to a bodged connecter on the MAF sensor - if this is also your problem then new sensors won't change anything. The connector on mine was suspiciously held in place by a cable tie - when properly mated, they stay put without external assistance... Incidentally, a collegue of mine tells me that unplugging (or otherwise disabling) the MAF sensor is a cute trick to improve the emissions temporarily - occasionally seen at MOT tests. Quote
Guest GT-Four Posted May 23, 2005 Report Posted May 23, 2005 hi john A new maf indeed cured the fault on my sisters galaxy. if the maf plug is loose or easy to pull off i can only assume the retaining clip is broken :-( As with a good clip it should be nigh on impossible to remove without unclipping Quote
