Guest shaw1973 Posted May 3, 2005 Report Posted May 3, 2005 I have just bought a 53 plate mondeo Zetec S and I was wondering if anyone could let me know where the best place to buy a fascia adapter kit. And how hard is it to change. Thanks Quote
Guest tubbylardo Posted May 4, 2005 Report Posted May 4, 2005 Do you mean so that you can change the stereo? Quote

Guest tubbylardo Posted May 5, 2005 Report Posted May 5, 2005 I've got one. I had a 51 reg mondeo company car and I changed the standard stero for a pioneer one. I put the old stereo back in when the car went back. It is very easy to fit. You put the standard din radio you are fitting in the the plate just clips in to place filling the gap left. I still have the fasica plate in my tool box. They are quite expensive, about Quote
Guest shaw1973 Posted May 5, 2005 Report Posted May 5, 2005 My car is a late 53 plate and has the new sony based stereo. I took it to my local stereo dealer, he said there is a fascia adapter available but he has no idea how to get the stereo out. There are no holes or anything. I am going to give my local ford dealer a ring in the morning to see if they can shed any light on the subject. Why they can't just fit din size slots in all cars I don't know! Quote
