Guest rcg1 Posted May 1, 2005 Report Posted May 1, 2005 Hi I've seen a few posts regarding the Front Blower malfunction. I haver had a similar problem while driving when the Front Blower stopped working altogether. The back blower seems to work fine. Have checked fuses in the normal location and everything seems fine. :) Can anyone provide any clues on where I can begin. I've seen posts suggesting that this is on the side of the glove compartment, which I will remove today, but haven't a clue how to check whether it's the blower or some other fault preventing the blower from functioning. Also, have been to local Ford garages who have absolutely no clue about AirCon. Would anyone recommend using a local Auto Electrician for such a problem? I live in the West London/Heathrow area - any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks Quote
Guest rcg1 Posted May 1, 2005 Report Posted May 1, 2005 I think Fredt has posted some pictures regarding changing the resistor packs in the past but cannot find these. This is a fix I am prepared to have a go at as I feel that this is why the front blower may have stopped working. Can anyone please help with instructions/pictures on changing the front blower resistor pack. BTW, what I see behind the glove compartment are two sets of connectors, one going into what I think is the Blower, and another which fits into a red block to the side of the blower (Evaporator?) :). Am I in the right area and am I correct in assuming that the blower is the unit to the extreme left towards the passenger door mounted on to a metal plate on the left hand side via a bolt. Apologies for sounding a novice. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. Quote
