Door Card Removal - Special Tool Required?

I have to replace both my electric door mirrors but, obviously, I have to remove the door cards. I understand that in order to avoid damage to the door or the card, a special tool is required. Can anyone please confirm this and possibly let me know where I can get one - I assume a Ford dealer will not sell me one!

You can pick up the trim removal tool at most good auto parts stockist in their tool section, or use a old filler knife or a paint stripping scraper, you will need a couple of replacement clips as your sure to break a couple :blink:

there is a set of instructions on door card removal for both the MK1 and MK2 posted elsewhere if you need some help?
