maglite Posted April 26, 2005 Report Posted April 26, 2005 Hello, I was looking at the beam on my Galaxy & the passenger side needs to be lowered a little. On the actual light housing there is a little symbol that says: =D 12% Now I I know that on some cars the housing has a little Alan key adjustment. Is there a way on the Galaxy to adjust the headlamp housing like this? Thanks Quote
Guest vr6galaxy Posted April 26, 2005 Report Posted April 26, 2005 There are two adjuster screws on the head lights, they are both located on the top outer ends of the head lights, the outer one is the vertical adjuster, the inner one the horizontal one, have fun  Quote

Sharanfx Posted April 26, 2005 Report Posted April 26, 2005 Mine are way out after replacing them with two new headlights. Anyone know of an easy way to get these re-alighned untill it goes in for an MOT. eg. what sort of pattern should they be shining on a wall? Quote
maglite Posted April 26, 2005 Author Report Posted April 26, 2005 Well I suppose if you have access to another car from a friend, etc.. Park your car next to his/her's at the same distance from a wall. Make sure you are both on a flat surface. Switch on your lights and try to adjust your headlights as near to the pattern of the other car. Make sure the distance of both cars is the same from the wall. My 406's pattern is like this: \_____ \_____ I just tried to make my Galaxy as close to that as possible. Hope this helps.. Quote
Sharanfx Posted April 27, 2005 Report Posted April 27, 2005 Thanks........ never thought of that  Quote
BrummyGit Posted December 4, 2012 Report Posted December 4, 2012 Hi, I need soome help and thought I'd resurect this old thread. I have factory Xenons on my Galaxy MkII and the dipped beams are aligned fine and recently passed an MOT. My main beams are a different story all together with both pointing to the left hand side of the road. I know from previous work which adjuster is the height control, but will adjusting the other (horizontal??) one wreck my low beam adjustment or is the horizontal adjuster only for the main beams?
