O Bugger I Think This'll Cost Me?

i seem to have a problem with my sunroof,the sliding panell jammend,gave it a tug and it came off its clips not so much a problem there but a couple of weeks later the whole thing started making funny noises wouldnt go back properly or forward so i took the glass out and lo and behold a piece of metal had come off so i had to manually shut the sunroof but it olny slides one way the other side stays where it is so i have to pull it at the same time as using the manual winder

 

q-1 its it something i can do my self

 

q-2 can i rob the mechinism from something else?

 

q-3 and if i bite the bullet and take to frauds is it goner cost a morgage to fix

 

any feed back would be gratefully recieved
