Guest adiick100 Posted April 18, 2005 Report Posted April 18, 2005 Hi All, just had the old Gal serviced (not to mention the gearchange cable replaced, the old 3rd and 4th only prob). Anyway, got a call to tell me that the brake fluid could do with changing as Ford reckon the boiling point should be over 180 degrees (Celsius I assume) and mine was 162. <_< Sounds fair enough as the fluid will absorb moisture over time etc. The thing is I've never heard of it being tested before and how do they do it? I have visions of a test tube, bunsen burner and thermometer !! :D Any thoughts out there? Quote
Guest vr6galaxy Posted April 18, 2005 Report Posted April 18, 2005 IIRC they test the electrical resistance of it, the higher the water content the lower the resistance Quote
