Seat Belt Problem

I have a problem with the middle row, middle seat, seat belt.

Namely that it wont do the "clunk, click" thing.

When pushing the metal part into the black holder (ie next to the red button) it wont click into position and hold firm - it just pops back out.

[Hows that for a "technical explanation :lol: ]

 

 

Anyone had this before ?

 

I've phoned the garage and they have asked me to bring it in for them to look at - see if any parts are required etc - I'm sure it will be under warranty so thats not a problem but just thought I'd ask here first.

I've had this on another car - was the release mechanism not fully releasing. Try sticking one of the other belt buckles into it and seeing if that frees it up. If not, a long thin-bladed screwdriver could be carefully inserted into the slot to check for obstructions. Go carefully, and good luck

Just a daft thought have you tried both buckles if its the roof mounted one? as I am sure that mine are "keyed" and the picture on the belt is not very clear....

Try a bit of WD40 inside the mechanism :lol:

Tried all the above to no avail so its back to the garage asap in the hope they can fix it before the weekend :D

Took it to the garage yesterday - fixed in less than half an hour under warranty.

Sorted. Packed the wife, kids and kitchen sink in it this morning - off for the weekend in it at lunchtime

:(
