Hello, I just about managed finishing my AI606 install today. After annoying the neighbours while testing it, it all works fine. The unit can take a dual zone sensor which then gives it a proximetry radius protection.

Does anyone know if this will work with the alarm? :D

The unit has a 4 pin socket for the sensor.

Thanks

I have an Ai606 fitted without any extras and it works just fine :D no one has tried to break in the last five years + :D I figure the more sensors you have, the more likely of false alarms your going to get! I had a similer device fitted to my 205 GTI, bloody thing could be set off by passing taxi's, police cars, ambulance's and anything else that had a radio transmitter in it :D every time they keyed the mic, off it went :D it had a small ball of mercury it in and three sensors that tracked it, every time it got hit by a radio signal the mercury vibrated and set off the alarm :D once we figured out what the problem was it soon got bypassed, much to the joy of my neigbours :D

I had the genuine Toad dual shock sensor fitted to my Ai606. It was great, only went off once (with the Toad you can count the LED flashes to see what tripped it) and I saw the Chav try the door handle. The sensor was on the B pillar and set so fine that when he let the handle drop it set off the "chirp" pre-warning.

The unit I had was a OE part with the main alarm, but it was more trouble than it was worth! now on my Golf I have a secondary siren mounted out side the car and the main siren in the cabin, as the unit is not able to run a second siren I have linked it into the indicator flashing circuit using a relay and a couple of diod's :D much to the displeasure of my neighbours  it's loud
