Guest martinkerr Posted June 16, 2003 Report Posted June 16, 2003 I have a long list of electrical problems with my new Gal, it is going back to garage to get repaired. How do I know if it should have ABS? The warning light dosen't come on when starting and the wheels lock when I stand on the brakes but how do I not know if the system is just faulty?I thought ABS would be standard on a car this size!? 2.0 DOHC Petrol '95 THanks Martin Quote
Guest martinkerr Posted June 16, 2003 Report Posted June 16, 2003 Car came from Ashcroft Motor company, NewcastleThey said they will fix problems but I ain't holding my breath as every time I try to take it down to the garage they seem to come up with a problem like "the mechanic has had to go home" or "the ramp is broken" I don't sugest anybody buys a car from them till I get this problem sorted as trading standards might need to get involved Problems so far:No petrol warning lightInterior lights won Quote
Guest Barrye Posted June 17, 2003 Report Posted June 17, 2003 With a list that long it is time to reject the car and ask for a refund! The seat problem, the brake problems and the boken suspension links make the car un roadworthy and illegal. - Also the fix for the gearbox problem is a recon gearbox ( synchro worn out). It will probably cost well over Quote
