Mrs turnip here!!

Mr turnip away and the car starts to play up - typical. Hence I need some advice. When I go into reverse I get the 2 beeps to tell me that the sensors are on but they almost immediately start to beep continously (as if I have something immediately behind me) - which I don't. I noticed that when I parked on the drive the beeps became intermittent and then continous again when I got close to the garage - however they are obviously faulty and I don't want to rely on them. Being a bit short I really need the sensors for reversing and am a bit stuck with out them. Any ideas or should I just book it into the garage.

Thanks

we had this, gave them a quick clean with soapy water - worked fine - got to be worth a try (ps they didn't look very dirty)

Check under the front passenger seat to see if it's soaking wet. If so you can remove the module and if you're lucky dry it out in the airing cupboard.

If it is wet, do a search for leaking rear windscreen washer, common problem.

Bloody typical isnt it! he leaves you alone for five minutes and you break the car! just stick it back on the drive way where he left it and deny ever touching it :D just hope he didnt log the mileage before he left or your in BIG trouble :D

try as suggested clean the sensors and check under the passenger seat for signs of water!
