grifjl Posted June 16, 2003 Report Posted June 16, 2003 I know this has come up before but I can't find the old thread on the topic. Basically, have a wet floor carpet in passenger footwell. Can someone let me know what was generally responsible for this. Thanks Jon Quote
Guest barney Posted June 16, 2003 Report Posted June 16, 2003 Your Rear screen washer line has come adrift , the hose is behind the carpet up high in the passenger well on the left hand side.Happened to me and it took ages to get all the water out , had to cut up my insulation etc to get to the floor underneath! best of luck barney Quote
grifjl Posted June 16, 2003 Author Report Posted June 16, 2003 But, the washer is working. Not apparent that it looks any less powerful. Also, the water did not smell of washer fluid, I use a 3 to 1 mix so it is a pretty smelly mixture!!! I will take in to Dealers as is only 11 months old anyway!! Cheers Quote

Guest paulmiddleton Posted June 23, 2003 Report Posted June 23, 2003 Do u have a sunroof?......If so check the drainage pipes from the roof to the wheel arches! Ther r 1 in each corner 2 go down the "A" pillars and 2 run along the roof lining to thr rear arches!... My 97 2.3 Ghia X suffered with wet floor wells, the result was the pipes had come adrift from the sunroof drain surround. Water then runs down the "A" pillar straight into the footwell. 3 dealer visits b4 i fixed it my self..... Quote
