Hi im a newbie to this forum and ill remain a member for a long time to come as its the biggest ford forum ive come across.

Hi Just got this Ka 2 two weeks ago and got a bit of a problem.

From the passanger side door the central locking works perfectly opening and locking both drivers and passengers door.

When trying to open or lock doors from the drivers side it just dont work, no doors open or lock (theres no sound or noise from the motor), The motor does work though as said earlier it opens and closes perfectly from the passengers side door

Anyone got any info on fixing this Please

sounds like you have a fuse problem. you can buy the technical book for the ford car at halfords or any other main car shop. thats if you want to tackle the problem your self?! if the car is stil under any sort of warranty, take it back to your dealer? if its comes to the crunch you might have to go to a local ford garage or maybe a cheaper garage might be able to fix it for you...

sorry i cant help no more but i think you have a fuse problem?

Hey, I also have the same problem, I can unlock the car with the passenger side and the central locking does its thing for all doors. But when I unlock the drivers side, it opens the driver lock but the central locking does not engage and does not open the other side?

Anyone have any ideas?

Many Thanks.

if this were a galaxy I would say that its a fairly good chance (and simple investigation) that its the wires through the rubber boot between door and body - either insulation breaking down and shorting or wires themselves broken (likely here) have a look at the faq - maybe the same in a ka
