Guest nelse Posted April 9, 2005 Report Posted April 9, 2005 from all then it looks like a 95H is fine on a diesal galaxy, begs the question of why do they factory fit a 168mph rated trye to a car like the diesel galaxy? Quote
Guest MATT Posted April 9, 2005 Report Posted April 9, 2005 begs the question of why do they factory fit a 168mph rated trye to a car like the diesel galaxy? maybe they like to leave a bit of margin...its their name on the car! which also begs the question, why do they put such poor quality badges on the cars? ive seen two galaxy's today, both with 'Mucky' badges. matt Quote
Ivor_E_Tower Posted April 9, 2005 Report Posted April 9, 2005 Ah yes, badges...... I washed and polished mine today and the rear badge started to disintegrate. It appears to be a nice lump of chromed metal, but the "blue oval" logo is a piece of brittle plastic that is shrunk over the metal. Water gets between the metal and the plastic causing the discolouration, and I suspect that the frost then does its work over the winter; whatever, the plastic on mine has cracked and bits of the logo have now flaked off. Day off on Monday to have the divot in the rear bumper sorted, then it appears to be a drive to the Fraud parts counter ........ Quote
Guest adiick100 Posted April 10, 2005 Report Posted April 10, 2005 No probs with H rated tyres...perfectly legal Although mine is a mere 90 bhp model it still came with overated tyres. Bought H rated ever since new. Quote
