ben hudson Posted April 8, 2005 Report Posted April 8, 2005 Drove my Galaxy to work this morning and every time you go into a left bend or turn there is a squeak from the front drivers wheel. On the right hand bends or the straight its fine no noise.Any ideas? Quote
Guest MATT Posted April 8, 2005 Report Posted April 8, 2005 ime wondering if the CV joints are giving in, or whether the inside of your tyre is hitting something.you could check the inside of the front tyres for unusual wear. i don't know how you could check the CV joints. matt Quote
tim-spam Posted April 8, 2005 Report Posted April 8, 2005 CV joints and wheel bearings usually rumble or knock. Intermittant squeal or squeak is likely to be brake related. Try braking slightly when the noise occurs - if the noise disappears, there's the problem.Tim Quote
Andrew T Posted April 8, 2005 Report Posted April 8, 2005 Sounds like a binding brake. Does one front wheel have a lot more brake dust on than the other ? Quote
Guest djjonesy Posted April 11, 2005 Report Posted April 11, 2005 Hi, From what you describe mine does exactly the same. It sounds as if it's coming from the steering wheel though. I just presumed it was the sliding connectors under the steering wheel that go to the horn and airbag and haven't actually looked in to it yet. I might try squrting some lube in there sometime......
