Guest jonthai Posted April 5, 2005 Report Posted April 5, 2005 I have a 1997 Ford Galaxy 1.9 Diesel . Fabulous car but has irritating misfire at high speeds. Been into garage and had wires replaced to control unit. But still this misfire happens. Happens when cold and warm. Usually at his speeds, over 70mph. Sudden jerking. Cannot be found on electrical machines. Does not get worse or improves. Sometime it happens more than others. Driving me potty. Can anyone point me in the right direction please?\john young Quote
Guest MATT Posted April 5, 2005 Report Posted April 5, 2005 if its not electrical, it could be the valves, or the fuel supply. if its a high millage, it could be either the valves or the fuel injectors. electrical problems could be caused by,glow plugs, engine managment, damaged wiring, matt  Quote
Guest jonthai Posted April 5, 2005 Report Posted April 5, 2005 thanks matt. i am inclined to tink it is electrical. it certainly feels like an electrical breakdown. to try and reduce te options where may i look for the management unit? and can i replace tis easily? i suspect the fault is in this unit... john Quote
