Guest finlad Posted March 30, 2005 Report Posted March 30, 2005 i was replacing the back box on my ford ka and left it in gear whilst working underneath it, i tried to start the car in 2nd gear and now it wont start at all! i have had a few local lads look at the problem and my next door neighbour had the exact same problem... all that i get is a ticking noise from the bonnet which suggests that the battery is working fine. my mates concluded that the starter motor has become locked. we have tried a few methods of releasing the jammed starter motor, but to no avail! bein on a very low income and on my holidays i have no money to repair the car in a ford garage! my question is how can i release the jammed starter motor without recieving a hefty bill for repairs?
Guest finlad Posted March 30, 2005 Report Posted March 30, 2005 i have had a further look at my car and i can bravely say that its not going to be a cheap repair... i would just like to thank the guy whom is now retired for selling me this dodgy car a few months ago. hope you rot in your own flesh! please dont reply to the question i posted earlier because there is no way i can fix the starter motor.
