Air Con

hi all, mk1 1.9tdi 110, when pessing the manual air con switch it lights up but should i be able to hear the comp clicking on and off ? it appears not to blow cold air. whats the first thing to do ? get it recharged ? weve had car 4 months and was unable to test aircon as it was freezing when we got it !

If you want to pay sensible money go to your nearest tractor dealer i.e. Massey Ferguson, they usually have all of the gear and a very clued up techie and will check and recharge cheaper than anyone else. Next best is local aircon specialist or Halfrauds, finally if you wish to blow shedloads of money goto a Ford/VW/Seat dealer.
