galaxychap Posted March 29, 2005 Report Posted March 29, 2005 Ok refitted coil pack after cleaning and sealing with epoxy resin fitted the one ht lead that was split although i did buy a full set refitted battery after an overnight charge and guess what .............. same problem so i thought other leads so started changing them got the 3 front ones on ok looking down plug end of one a bad case of corrosion anyway cannot get the back three of guess i need the right tool as vr6 has said. Is there anything else i can check she fires up and runs for a couple of seconds then dies she was popping though exhaust but since i replaced coil pack and the split number 2 lead that has stopped . Any assistance would be most appriciated as the gal is needed friday as me and the wife are off to birmingham nec to see anastacia. Thank you Quote

Guest vr6galaxy Posted March 29, 2005 Report Posted March 29, 2005 Not fitted to the VR6 either the fuel cut off function is controlled by the PCM and on MK1 models that a fuel cut off switch is fitted its under the passenger seat just a though you have pushed the plug home fully under the coil pack ? as for the tool where abouts are you? galaxychap Posted April 5, 2005 Author Report Posted April 5, 2005 Hiya VR6 nope i did not get one as i did not have the time to souce one and as the old leads where being bined anyway i pulled them off ,came off quite freely to put new ones on i made a tool with 15mm plastic pluming pipe that done the trick in pushing the new leads on. Anastacia she was brill,fab,fantastic,super best gig ive been to in yrs and so much meaning in her lyrics. Take care m8 and thanks for your tips Leon Quote
