Electric Windows Failed

today my drivers side window decided to stay open and wont close at all , the passenger side would open and close no problem.

 

if i pressed the close button nothing happened at all but if i pressed the close button on the drivers window i could hear a clicking noise.

 

i took the door panel off and found what i think is a relay of some kind , this is what was clicking.

 

i've checked all the wiring and it all seems to be ok.

 

just been out again to see if i could work out whats going on with and now neither windows will move and the clicking sound has stopped.

 

checked all the fuses and all seem to be ok.

 

and also its chucking it down with rain and starting to get dark so any help would be appreciated

changed the motor and regulator , changed the switch , changed the fuse , the lot , booked it in tomorrow to be done , cos i cant be bothered with it.

problem was found in the one touch down relay , although the relay clicked giving the impression that it was working there was some dry solder inside it on the part that controls the actual up movement , mechanic re-soldered it , all working fine , 2 hours labour 105 quid , i'll know next time it happens.
