Guest mrtonywade Posted June 11, 2003 Report Posted June 11, 2003 sometimes when i put my foot on the axselarater, nothing happens, no revs, no nothing, its like I didnt toach the pedal, this only happened 2 or 3 times, and then I noticed that reverse gear was sliping ( auto gearbox ) and over a period of around 3 weeks, this turned from bad to worse, until I had no reverse gear at all.anyway I had the gearbox repaired, but before the garage gave it back to me, thay said that I needed a new throttle pedal ( compleate assembly ) as the switch had broken ( maybe thats why i had no thottle)anyway, he said that it was the pedal that had caused the gearbox to failI cant see it myself, and wondered what anyone out there thought about it,Also, even through the reverse gear now works on my 19 TDI, sometimes when the car changes into 3rd or top, there is a long time between gear shifts, like a defenat lag, and if I am going motorway driving it is worse, its like a kick in the back when the gear was always smooth beforeany and al help would be apprecaited thanks tony Quote
