Dave-G Posted March 21, 2005 Report Posted March 21, 2005 If it's a uk car it will be a 115 if new at first registration Quote

Ivor_E_Tower Posted March 22, 2005 Report Posted March 22, 2005 I had the same problem when I bought mine - insurers database said 110 whereas it is a 115 (early facelifted model on X-plate). Quote

redneck01246 Posted March 22, 2005 Report Posted March 22, 2005 no i know someone who does  Quote
ninjakev Posted March 23, 2005 Report Posted March 23, 2005 Had the same confusion when we bought ours - kept coming up on insurers system as a 115, even on Ford's own system. It's definitely a 130 though, of that there in no doubt and didn't cost any extra anyway.........helps being over 35  Quote
Guest Paulus1978 Posted March 23, 2005 Report Posted March 23, 2005 If you're ever in doubt, the colour of the TDI badge will tell you the engine spec, assuming it's the factory original badging. The 110 carrys an all silver TDI, the 115 a silver with red edging, and finaly the 130 has an all red TDi badge ( or so i am lead to belive, i stand ready to be proved wrong ) Quote

Realised after we bought it what the badges signified Quote
Ivor_E_Tower Posted March 23, 2005 Report Posted March 23, 2005 ... so what colour badge does the latest TDI 150 have? Anyone know? Quote
iainkirk Posted March 26, 2005 Report Posted March 26, 2005 Probably one with dangly bits hanging from the bottom! Do they actually exist yet though??? (other than on the Ford configurator) Quote

Guest vr6galaxy Posted March 26, 2005 Report Posted March 26, 2005 My VR6 doesn't even have a badge! I'm always tempted to stick a TDI badge on it  would be rather pointless though, as the only time anyone would see it would be when we stop to fill up :P and contrary to belief isn't that often :D Quote
Tigger Posted March 26, 2005 Report Posted March 26, 2005 Not with that AA man and his spare can  Quote
