Guest NAVMAN Posted March 17, 2005 Report Posted March 17, 2005 Hi, If anyones interested in purchasing an orginal Ford SatNav unit I currently have some for sale. Let me stress these are 100% legal and genuine. I work for a supplier to Ford Motor Company and therefore have first choice on goodies that occasionally come my way from test vehicles etc. I'm happy to provide any verification or further information should you be interested. I also have a still boxed original Ford Multimedia kit for a Galaxy including 2 headrests with LCD screens, Centre console with control panel, module, looms etc, etc. let me know if anyone is interested. johnb80 Posted March 18, 2005 Report Posted March 18, 2005 I'd be interested in Multi Media kit, what sort of price and what colour are the headrests ? Quote
Guest NAVMAN Posted March 18, 2005 Report Posted March 18, 2005 The SATNAV units are all MFD units with the 5" tiltable screen that has the facility to be used as a DVD monitor as well. (this requires an extra module that I don't have but I can get them) Prices vary dependent on how old they are and what they've been used for but they are never damaged and are normally between Quote
Marky Posted March 18, 2005 Report Posted March 18, 2005 And the price for the adapter module please navman Quote

Guest sjwarner Posted March 20, 2005 Report Posted March 20, 2005 Hi Interested in the multimedia - is it dvd or VHS? Steve Quote
swiss_hutless Posted March 21, 2005 Report Posted March 21, 2005 Navman, Yep interested in satnav!I guess fairly straightforward to fit in Galaxy Ghia, new shape, adapter to have it displaying DVD if you can get it as well! Quote
Guest NAVMAN Posted March 22, 2005 Report Posted March 22, 2005 Just in case anyone is thinking this thread has died I am replying to questions individually. An update on the multimedia kit for all those that asked. Its a VHS kit, that means the conole control panel and all wiring looms are exactly as you would find in a VHS factory fit. Howver bizzarley the kit does not include the VHS player itself. Don't ask me why but I checked the instructions and listed contents and its not missing just never included! Quote
johnb80 Posted March 23, 2005 Report Posted March 23, 2005 I wonder what the customers had to say when told "Youir Multimedia Kit is installed but no you can't use it because it doesn't have a player of any sort" It doesnt sound 'quite' right to me, I was quite shocked at the first price mentioned, now there's no player either it's beyond beleif. Perhaps I'm getting cynical in my old age  Regards - John Quote

HJT Posted June 20, 2005 Report Posted June 20, 2005 Jeez that is expensive. Guys, get yourself a Tomtom setup and an off the shelf dvd player with 2 headrest screens and save yourself a fortune. Plus you can swap them both to different cars if you need to.Sounds to me like this guy is getting some free advertising. Howard Quote
Guest MATT Posted June 20, 2005 Report Posted June 20, 2005 although 'built in units' are nice, i agree with HJT, after market units are cheaper, and are transferable between cars. i took the aftermarket route, and i am very pleased with it. MATT Quote
