Guest mick Posted March 10, 2005 Report Posted March 10, 2005 I am presently trying to re-import my Gal back into the UK, and have been given a V55/5 (Application for a first licence for a used motor vehicle and declaration for registration). Information required includes large amount of data on emissions such as: Particulates g/km; CO g/km; HC + NOx g/km; Stationary Sound Level (dB(A)); Engine Speed Sound Level (min -1) and Drive-by Sound. The Ford garage (unsuprisingly) were totally unhelpful when asked for a European Certificate of Conformity to assist me with this query. For info Gal is 2003 Model 1.9TDi (130) Ghia. Full UK spec and UK supplied. Any help would be appreicated. Quote
Andrew T Posted March 10, 2005 Report Posted March 10, 2005 For Co2 Go here select "features and spec's" then another box opens select "specifications" then "driving and technology" then "fuel perfomance and emissions". Quote

Ivor_E_Tower Posted March 10, 2005 Report Posted March 10, 2005 ISTR that a Certificate of Conformity can only be issued when the car is new, by the manufacturer/importer. Surely your local Vehicle Licencing Office can help out on this one? After all, many servicemen/women and diplomats buy in the UK, export then re-import. Quote
Guest mick Posted March 31, 2005 Report Posted March 31, 2005 Thanks for all the info.Managed to get cars re-registered without too many problems. I think it was the initial shock of having to supply just so much data, and the total lack of interest from the Fraud garage!Unfortunately I need to make another trip to them to sort out a 'clunking' / 'lose' noise from the front end. Sounds like a lose trim or failed component. Good illuminated optical bo**ocking given when changing from winter tyres, but nothing obvious. Have already been warned by the garage that many 'lose noises / rattles' not covered in 2nd & 3rd year of warranty. Guess that means shocks / bushes and generally anything that can wear!! Quote
Andrew T Posted March 31, 2005 Report Posted March 31, 2005 Clonking could well be the Anti-Roll Bar Drop Links, try a search it's been covered many times. Quote
Guest mick Posted March 31, 2005 Report Posted March 31, 2005 Thanks for the search tip Andy, noises seem to be as described in several of the resultant threads. I'll let the garage lose and see if the job will be done under warranty (only 18k on the clock and 18mths old). If not, I'll weild my own spanner :D Quote
