Guest blatters Posted March 1, 2005 Report Posted March 1, 2005 My Galaxy has started making a rattling noise when cold connected with the clutch pedal. It occurs just as you start to depress the clutch or just before you release it. Push the pedal further down and it disapears. When the car is warmed up it won't make the noise. It sounds like bits are grating against each other - not harsh grinding but just rubbing against each other. Any thoughts guys? Before I take it in for its 30,000 service I just thought I'd check with you all so I can hold my dealer to account if he says it's the 'warp factor kryptonite unit' - if you get my drift! Thanks in advance for your help. :( blatters Quote
seatkid Posted March 1, 2005 Report Posted March 1, 2005 Sounds like a dry or worn clutch thrust bearing. Nothing too much to worry about, although noisy it usually won't cause any problem. You can change it when your clutch needs changing. Quote
