Sharan Owners Manual

Can anyone reccommend a source for a sharan owners manual, the one that is originaly supplied with the car that tells you how things work, etc. (I'm not sure about how to use the air con, heated front window etc)

ah!! thats why i need an owners manual, I press the switch, the light goes on, but i don't know what else should happen. Theres no whirring or buzzing so is it on?, Have i pressed the right buttons??

What year is your sharan ?

I can scan in the relevant pages and email to you if you like. Mine is a 1997 model (old shape).

 

By the way, I was reading it last night. The Air Con on my sharan will only work when external ambient temperature is above 5 degrees C. Maybe thats why you see/feel/hear nothing.

Thanks for the kind offer, Mines a 1999, its just the dashboard controls i'm having problems with.

It's a long shot, but have you tried contacting Volkswagen customer services and asking for one ? I know from expreience that Citroen will send you one free of charge. I suspect that is where a lot of the unused ones on E-bay come from.

tried to get a sharan manual for mine they went out of print in january 05 accoding to my local vw dealer!!

Just a thought .... the aircon only operates when the ventilation fan is turned on (any of the 4 speeds) - it doesn't work if the fan is not running.

You should notice the sound of the compressor and momentary change of revs when the aircon "kicks in or out".
