Guest w0arnold Posted February 28, 2005 Report Posted February 28, 2005 We own a 2002 Ford Galaxy 1.9 TDI and are not having problems with the heat but where the heat isn't. After the normal diesel warm up time, the vehicle gets warm, but the floor area (feet and legs area) always has cool air flow. Reguardless of the heater control position the floor area always remains cold. When turn to full fan power and vehicle is warmed up the metal grill in the upper dashboard gets so hot you can burn your fingers on it and so much hot air comes out of the windshield outlets your face gets hot, but no foot warmth. Anybody else have this problem ? We have had it back to the dealer every winter, but it never helps. Thanks, w0arnold Quote

davewill Posted March 7, 2005 Report Posted March 7, 2005 I also find that on my 2002 TDI Gal the front footwells are always coldIf i have the air direction control on "feet only", hot air blows out of the main dashboard blowers. If i have it on screen, face and feet position, it comes out of screen mainly.I have found that if i put the heater position to "main dashboard blower", turn heat up to full volume, put fan on full throttle, and then after 10 seconds turn the dial to feet only position, i do get hot air blowing down at my feet.I tend to keep AC on all the time, so are you doing that or just using heater without AC.
