Guest marcusheawood Posted February 23, 2005 Report Posted February 23, 2005 Hello all, I have a 1996 VW Sharan VR6 Carat Manual with the dreaded climatronic! Within the last week the front blower motor became intermittant; speeding up, slowing down and stopping all together. Now it has just stopped working completely. The rear blower still works fine. I have previously repaired climatronic problems by disconnecting the battery and charging it! However I don't think that will work this time. I will not use the dealer network; they are helpless with this vehicle and charge a fortune for nothing. Can any of you guys help? Quote
seatkid Posted February 24, 2005 Report Posted February 24, 2005 Supply is via Fuse 34 (25A), then blower motor relay K73 (which also powers the rear blowers...) and the Heater blower control unit A130, it could also be the main ATC unit ( Quote
Guest marcusheawood Posted February 24, 2005 Report Posted February 24, 2005 That sounds like good advice seatkid, whereabouts is the blower control unit A130 located? I feel that it may be the problem. Quote
Masked Marauder Posted February 24, 2005 Report Posted February 24, 2005 It is behind the dashboard panel/behind the glove box on the passenger side. Quote
Guest rcg1 Posted May 20, 2005 Report Posted May 20, 2005 On my Galaxy which is a 1999 T reg 1.9 Diesel, which has Dual Climate control, I found the blower motor relay to be the fault. This is on the drivers side within the fuse box section. You have to take the trims off on the drivers side, and then lower the whole fuse compartment. The relay on my car had the number 114 stamped on it. Oh, and you can't get this from Ford - they advised going to VW or Audi. The blower control module is on the passengers side connecting to the Evaporator. On my car this is a transistor based unit which I suspect is because of climatronic. Hope this helps. Quote
