just tried to fill up the galaxy and the filler flap is stuck in the locked position. Has anyone had a similar problem?

The lock is just a pin fired into a hole in the FLAP remove the cover panel where the jack is stored, reach up into the area behind the storage bin to where the FLAP locking motor is located and manually operate the mechanism, it may be a bit a stiff! but it does move with a litle effort

if you look in the owners manual it shows you how to do this :)

Thanks a lot for the advice it was the flap and not the actual cap that was stuck. But i have been able to shift the locking pin and open it now. Thankfully i can now fill it up with fuel, i must admit i was thinking of pushing it into the canal with the amount of probs i have had with it. So you have prolonged its life a little longer.

The motor is easy enough to change, just a couple of screws and a plug, I split my old one down to see if I could repair it as it was locking but not unlocking! the mech inside had stripped on the opening part of the drive  so I binned it for a new one

Must be a petrol model, diesel owners rarely have to open their flaps.........
