I still have a problem with my N reg Galaxy 2.0i

Can anyone tell me what happens when you atrt the engine

I.E

what could cause a problem with a chugging or misfire on a cold day

What should kick in at certain times

this usually developes about 3/4 minutes from engine start

It certainly seams to be worse on cold days

I recently replaced the thermostat and the coolant temperature sender

so these are definatly o.k.

Could this be the Cat ???

I have had the O2 sensor changed in december ...If this is not an original FORD part Could this cause a problem like this

I really am getting so tired of this car ...but am so reluctant to get rid of it as I have spent soooo much on it

I think I really need a good mechcanic not a Engine Management centre as they certainly don't seam to know what to do unless they find error codes on a diagnostic machine..

I have no error codes on the car at all ..and seam to have everyone baffled

Thanks for your time ...mark

Replace the o2 sensor with a genuine Ford one, clean the idle speed control valve and throttle body with carb cleaner.
