Guest carliterature Posted February 15, 2005 Report Posted February 15, 2005 Hi all Hopefully looking at a replacement for our recently demised Galaxy tomorrow or the day after. It's a Mk 1 model with the blue interior. Over the past few weeks I've noticed, especially on blue interiors, that the colouring on the plastic trim/grab handle on the driver's door especially looks pealed and/or discoloured. This doesn't appear to happen much at all on the beige interiors. Anyway, just wondered whether or not it's possible to replace JUST that plastic shroud from the door card or wether it's all part of the same unit. I've read elsewhere how to remove the door cards so that's not a major worry but is it simply a case of unclipping/popping that plastic part and slotting the new one in? Also, I think it'll need some new speaker grilles. On the Mk1 Galaxy (where they're round and look 'less integrated') can these grilles be replaced by simply slotting a flat head screw driver underneath and lifting it away from the door card or do I need to remove the card? Am I right in thinking these are circa Quote
chromedome Posted February 16, 2005 Report Posted February 16, 2005 I've read on the forum that the Mk1 grab handle cannot be purchased seperately and you have to buy the whole door card at about Quote
Guest MyPerfectVehicle Posted February 16, 2005 Report Posted February 16, 2005 hi,there are loads of people selling replacement speaker grills on ebay, just type ford galaxy in the search box on ebay.co.uk's homepage. Quote
dipsomaniac Posted February 16, 2005 Report Posted February 16, 2005 The speaker grilles can be replaced in minutes without removing the door card. Email me if you want me to post you some together with fitting instructions. Quote
