riz Posted February 13, 2005 Report Posted February 13, 2005 Hi all, back again with another problem. The front wipers are on turbo charge, I am presuming it could be an alternator fault as they run normal speed if the engine is not running. Some advice needed please :o Quote
seatkid Posted February 13, 2005 Report Posted February 13, 2005 Electronic speed control module is kerplunk. It is part of the wiper motor... Quote
riz Posted February 14, 2005 Author Report Posted February 14, 2005 Hmmm Thanks. Is it replaced easy or whole motor needed, or anything I can do, like wack it with a 10lb hammer :P Quote
smon Posted February 17, 2005 Report Posted February 17, 2005 Any more suggestions on the solution to this? :) Sounds similar to a problem I had last weekend. Sitting in a queue of traffic on a hill, in heavy rain, wipers on intermittent, they suddenly went crazy and hurtled across the screen, still intermittently. Switching off at the stalk switch didnt make any difference, only turning off the ignition stopped them going. Later, on turning on ignition again they behaved ok. Could this be the control module getting wet? :) Quote
