Guest J6JBP Posted June 3, 2003 Report Posted June 3, 2003 Can anyone help me? The back lights on the heater controls and the digital clock, are not working. I have tried to trace the fault through the fuse box, but drawn a blank. Is there a fuse that controls these lights? have I missed one? or is it the fact that the bulbs have blown? then how do you get access to the said items? The vehicle in question is a 1999 TDi Zetec 110bhp. I know the days are getting longer, but as I do a lot of night driving, I am anxious to get a speedy reply. Thanks in anticipation of help from my fellow Galaxy owners. Quote
Mussey1 Posted June 5, 2003 Report Posted June 5, 2003 I changed the heater control bulb in my Zetec TDI last week.Prise off the heater surround (it can be done without removing the radio) and and remove the clear plastic light diffuser. You should see the bulb below the rotary controls between the heat and air position control. There is a small plastic tab holding the bulb and holder in place. Press this with a small screwdriver and pull the bulb and holder out. The bulb and holder are one unit so you have to buy the bulb from your main dealer. I was quoted over Quote
Guest J6JBP Posted June 5, 2003 Report Posted June 5, 2003 Well I'm astounded by the knowledge of my fellow club members. A huge thank you to both gentlemen who took the time to reply. I shall have a go at the weekend, at I'll let you know how I got on. Rgds JP Quote
