Here's your answer, taken from this forum. How much would you be happy to pay for that?

IIRC, hold down trip reset when turning ignition on

Apparently, you may need to open the bonnet for a while before doing it so that the car thinks that you've done something (not as smart as it looks, you see). This is probably standard Ford mechanic procedure.

Easy, open the bonnet for a few minute (this step may not be necessary), whilst holding down the trip reset, turn on the ignition. Job done.

That'l be a quid to tsunami releif fund.

AFAIK, this only works on the older Gals... I think you have to use VAG-COM on the newer ones..

Mike

Well it works on my 2003 115 TDi Ghia Auto.

I stand corrected, apparently lol - there was a post on hera couple of weeks ago where someone said they had reset theirs with VAG-COM, so maybe you can do it either way?

On my 02 Ghia, I made the mistake of holding down the trip computer reset button and wondering why it wouldn't reset the service light. What i eventually did was:

With the ignition OFF hold down the odometer reset button

Whilst holding the odometer reset button switch the ignitio to ON

Job done
