:blink: Thanks to all the guys that explained how to access and replace the brake light switch B)

 

:huh: I recalled several cuss words that I'd forgotten years ago as I almost gave up trying to twist the new (single) switch back in :huh:

 

It was only the thought of the immense shame I would feel if I had to take it to a garage to finsh a job that I had started that persuaded me to persevere

 

I finally managed it after using a pair of pipe grips to flex the plastic "retaining springs" that hold it in place
