:lol: noise at tickover 2.0 duratec auto exec. on top of engine left of oil filler cap under 1200 revs car serviced at 60000 now has 71500 miles driving car normally no problem only at tickover

oil+filter change every 6 months or 6250 miles.

carserviced today they ie dealers make out noise at tickover might be loose honey combe catalytic converter plus worn carbon fibre flaps in exhaust manifold and tensioner when front wheels on full lock

loose combe in converter sounds like loads of crockery rattling about.

oil/filter changed since service quiter but tickover noise still there going to book it in for new inlet manifold and converter but ill mark them first and ask for old parts back to check them since i could not get a definite answer to the problem :rolleyes: :o :(

broke down tonight oil light then battery light came on stopped up turned ignition turning over but it is like the starter not engaging with ringear got taxi home booking it in with ford dealer tomorrow maybe it is timing chain awaiting further information from them tomorrow

as i thought timing chain cat /and carbon flaps gone gone for repair might be some warranty from dealer and ford will see soon dealer that is repairing the car seems helpfull looking forward to the repair invoice let you know what happens regards
