Just read some of the posts associated with water ingress all seem to be about water in passenger footwell, but I have just noticed water in the drivers footwell! any idears, is it these blocked drain holes If so how do I locate and clear them. Any help would be very much appreciated. PS Could any damage be done by water ingress in this area.

Thanks Pete C & Seatkid

Will start looking weekend. PS What damage to you think could be done!

I'm aware of the Black box in the passengers side but nothing under the drivers side, now I'm worried!

undo 3-4 screws under the wheel arch that holds on the plastic liner

pull it away soz you can get your hand under it .

now put your hand up under but near to the bulk head & feel for a rubber shield.

pull it off 7 water will flow out

you can put it back on but i did not bother on mine 7 all

seems ok .

now get a watering can or hose pipe & apply some water under the bonnet by the bulk head (where water got in)

now you should see water flowing from under the wheel arch.

if you dont then you need to clear the blockage with a short length of wire

& try it again

put all parts back together & check under passengers seat & make sure the electic box is not wet & if it is remove it &

dry it off by placing it it a warm place for 24 hours to dry it out

this box controlls all the windows & cent locking etc

all the best m8

oh

do the same for the drivers side under the wheel arch but be careful as there are wires tthat side so don't go tugging on the first thing you get hold of lol

I had water in both footwells, and during heavy rain the water would come over the top of the dash.

A new winscreen fixed the problem - only after Ford broke the old one removing the dash for investigation

you don't need pick's

pu ur hand under the plastic liner & feel for a rubber

flap

pull it off & clear the hole out

you can put it back on using bortik or

do as i done & leave it off
