Guest revjem Posted January 22, 2005 Report Posted January 22, 2005 My 2001 Alhambra 1.9 TDi SE developed dreadful vibration under load at motorway speeds. The dual-mass flywheel was replaced under warranty but I can still feel a vibration. It appears under load and goes when the clutch is depressed. It's not the same as the other shake, but feels like a harsh road surface. The garage thinks it's the rear shocks (64k miles inc caravan towing). Could it be this or should I look at engine mounting or something else in the drive-train? Quote
chromedome Posted January 22, 2005 Report Posted January 22, 2005 Check that CV joints are properly lubricated, especially if it's more of a wobble that you're getting. Quote
Ivor_E_Tower Posted January 22, 2005 Report Posted January 22, 2005 If it appears under load and goes when you depress the clutch pedal then it won't be the shocks. Check the CV joints for split boots in the first instance - what mileage? and when did the vibration start? Quote
